NO.1

Mango Shaved Ice at Shihlin Night Market

The ice is shaved super thin that you feel like you are eating powder snow! This picture shows a half of the serving. The shaved ice itself is milk-flavored and sweet. (or already mango flavored, perhaps?) They put cut fresh mango and condensed milk on top of it. Yummy!!!

NO.2

Egg Pudding at Ji Jia Zhuang

This restaurant is famous for chicken. But this complimentary dessert caught my heart! Sooo rich in taste!

NO.3

Beef Noodle Soup at Shihlin Night Market

Spiced tender beef, flat noodles, and simple flavorful soup go together.

NO.4

Deep-fried seasoned chicken breast at Shihlin Night Market

It's as big as a slipper. Tasty yet crispy.

NO.5

Mapo Tofu at Ji Jia Zhuang

This mapo tofu is not spicy, and use chicken instead of pork.

NO.6

Chicken Flavored Rice at Ji Jia Zhuang

Rice cooked in chicken broth. It goes well with mapo tofu.

NO.7

Fo Tiao Qiang at ShinYe

Fo Tiao Qiang means "Buddha Jumps Over the Wall" to eat this delicious dish. The stew consists of many ingredients including scallops, sea cucumber, abalone, shark fin, and chicken. It was delicous, but I have a slight doubt about how it was cooked. Fo Tiao Qiang usually requires one to two full days to prepare, but it was served in less than an hour.

NO.8

Wonton with hot oil sauce at Din Tai Fung

Din Tai Fung is most famous for small steamed buns "xiaolongbao" but I was more impressed with this dish. The sauce is delicous!

NO.9

Stir-fried water spinach at Din Tai Fung

They just stir fried water spinach with garlic. But surely it is yummy.

NO.10

Bento Lunch Box at Taipei station

Taiwan has Ekiben! It was sold at Taipei station. Spiced meat, a boiled egg, and pickled vegetable were placed on hot rice.
